Raw foods help prevent and overcome cancer...

Sunday, November 12, 2006

Breakfast- mixed together: 2 sliced bananas, 1 diced avocados, 10 chopped medjool dates, 1/4 cup shredded coconut

Lunch- 3 apples cored and filled with almond butter

Dinner- at Jandi's Natural Market & Organic Cafe: raw hummus, raw carrot vegetable crackers, 1 sunflower seed patty, medium sized romaine salad, 4 Blessings Alive sweet chili lime crackers, 2 pieces Didi's carob fudge nuggets, 1 Mom & Me pecan pie bar

The Organic Consumers website has a brief article about the role of fresh live foods have in preventing and promoting the recovery from illness, namely cancer. Referring to the consumption of cooked food, the article says "The cells are starved from nutrition and clogged with toxins called cellular constipation leading to mal-absorption and diseases. This in turn brings down immunity which invites host of illness and suffering." its imperative that we continue to share this information with our friends and loved ones. Eventually, someone will hear it said in a way that they relate to and will be inspired to make changes in how they eat and live. The site is http://www.organicconsumers.org

Michael and I ate dinner at Jandi's in Oceanside, NY when we went there for grocery shopping. Michael ate a selection of vegan cooked foods and I ate my raw selections. I'm committed to my raw life and yet I still look at cooked sometimes and think, "I wish I could eat that." No matter how good my raw tastes it can't replace baked sweet potatoes or vegan cooked pizza or stuffed baked potatoes.

Eating raw is a choice, a conscious choice to eat differently. I suspect that all raw foodists eventually have to come to terms with the choice part it. This happens once the newness and excitement of living and eating raw subsides. I know how alive and present in life I feel eating only raw food. Its easy to stay fit and healthy when I eat only raw food. I know how satisfied I feel after a raw meal versus having a nagging perpetual desire to eat when I ate cooked food. This is what keeps me sticking with raw, one day at a time.

It was just a rotten experience. I hope you don't ever have to go thru it, Your body will get very very sick.
It will be harder and harder after that for a while so please, stay on the right track!!!
