Enough citrus!
Breakfast- 5 Honey Tangerines
Lunch- 2 large grapefruit and 2 large sweet navel oranges
Dinner- Large (about 24 oz.) freshly made almond milk/coconut/banana/carob smoothie.
I've lain around all day to rest the feet after yesterday's surgery. The feet only hurt when I stand up, but tonight I was able to stand long enough to make the smoothie that I had for dinner. After all the fruit I've had the past 24 hours the smoothie felt very heavy in my stomach. The heaviness passed. That's one thing I notice with eating raw; when I eat large meals I may feel very full but the fullness eases up quickly, unlike the fullness I've felt in the past when I've eaten a large cooked food meal.
I don't like having my feet bandaged with no air exposure for three more days until I see Dr. Paul, http://belvederepodiatry.com/, on Friday; somehow it seems counter intuitive to what I've learned about skin needing fresh air and circulation in order to be healthy. My toes are broken though, and I want them to set properly, so for now I'll follow the Dr's. orders, but not blindly. We ,as individuals, are the only ones responsible for our health!
