A new way to love...

Breakfast- A large almond milk, date, fresh coconut smoothie

Lunch- A salad: chopped Romaine Lettuce, sliced cherry tomatoes, shredded carrots, tahini, lime juice

Dinner- 1 slice Raw Soul Cheesecake Lover's Cheesecake, 4 Raw Soul Oatmeal Raisin cookies

There's a family in the U.K that went all raw(see EXCLUSIVE: RAW FOOD DIET HAS CURED MY ARTHRITIS).  While reading about them I was reminded once again how being a raw foodist encompasses more than changing food.  The food change merely opens the door to a new fulfilling way of life.  Priorities can change.  Jatinder, the mother, says: "Detoxing is not as simple as just eating raw food - it includes being aware of your environment.  It means changing you hair gel, your toothpaste, the chemicals you use around the house, chlorinated tap water - even your negative thought patterns. They all introduce toxins into our bodies."

Change can be frightening.  Some of us don't want change because we don't yet know what's on the other side of it.  Even so, we must hold on to the fact that not polluting our bodies or the environment is a good thing.  How can we not eat the food that our parents and grandparents have eaten?  How will we relate?  Celebrate?  Express love?  If this is you, take note, there are thousands of others who are making these changes and they will confirm that it's worth it.

Once we become aware that cake and ice cream damage health, is it truly an act of love to serve it on our birthday?  We're learning new and healthier ways of living and expressing love.

Thank you for your helpful words in today's blog entry. I felt as if you were writing directly to me. I find transitioning to a raw food diet exciting, but also frightening. I know I feel better when I eat raw meals; however, the other elements of my life such as family, friends and work influence some of my meal choices. I have developed a new consciousness since I have become aware of raw living including a new perspective on conservation, animal rights and health care. I appreciate the words of encouragement and the personal stories of success as I perservere on this path toward a more satisfying life.
