Breakfast- slightly less that 1/2 watermelon
Last night I attended a benefit held at the Lawrence Country Club. Being somewhat concerned about my raw food options, I had made an advance food request- a fruit course and a vegetable course, all raw. The club's staff readily accommodated me and both courses were abundant and beautiful. With food combining in mind, I asked to have the fruit served first, followed by the vegetables and appetizer salad. The good natured waitress didn't understand that my requests were about eating only raw food; she kept trying to offer me strawberry shortcake! I had taken a couple of extra treats in case the raw food wasn't plentiful. As it turned out, I ate them just because I wanted them and not because I needed them.
When I make the effort to plan ahead I can get the food that I need. I am responsible for the food that passes my lips.
