Last night we recorded the premier episode of Raw Dish! Talk Show. The show will be broadcast on the soon to be launched www.Quest.TV. My first guest was Jenny Cornbleet, a raw food chef, teacher, and author of "Raw Food made Easy for 1 or 2 People". On the show Jenny prepared a recipe from her book- Flourless Chocolate Cake. It was easy, it took her five minutes to make, and that was my dinner after we finished recording the show!
I recently wrote about rewarding ourselves with food and I raised the subject of finding ways other than food for celebrating and rewarding ourselves. Recording the first episode of Raw Dish! Talk Show felt like an accomplishment and this morning I wanted a reward! I chose food, the macaroons. It's okay, the macaroons aren't ideal raw food for me but they tasted delicious, and I was aware of the alternate option of eating some of the fruit I have at home and finding another reward, one not connected to food. This afternoon when I was in a store shopping I saw a C.D. that I've wanted and I realised, "Oh, that could have been my reward instead of the macaroons." Maybe next time I'll choose the fruit. The other guest on Raw Dish! Talk Show was Michele Zayla, a terrifically talented vocalist, songwriter, and raw foodist. In addition to the interview she performed two soulful original songs including, "By the Sea". Raw Dish! Talk Show is off to a great start.
