Dinner- Raw Soul Barbecue Burger, Mixed green salad with carrots & cucumber, 4 Raw Soul Oatmeal Raisin cookies
As I continue to grow and explore the raw vegan way of life, it's increasingly clear that this is a different way of living, and thinking. Raw vegan living is not about doing what everyone else does but just in a different way. It is making a new choice and discovering new ways of thinking about life and health.
Last night I watched the documentary film "Breakthrough!" Made by Storm Talifero, it takes the viewer inside the lives of Storm, his wife, their four children and other close relatives. These are very intelligent and talented people who are choosing to live life differently than most of the civilized world. What stands out is how healthy, fit and fulfilled the Taliferos are. They spend a lot of time doing the things they love to do, making art, music, playing, exercising, writing and spreading the word that a raw vegan lifestyle works and it works well!
Breakthrough is earthy and intimate; it has a home-spun feel. It delivers a new definition of "normal." Most importantly it inspires faith that there is an alternative to the sensationalized disease filled fear based rat race that most people call life.
We don't have to cling so tightly to what most of the world considers normal. "Normal" is killing the human race and destroying the earth as we know it. We can make a different choice. Breakthrough shows us one family's version of a different choice.
