Lunch- 1/2 large watermelon
A few months ago when the champagne mangoes were so plentiful I felt a little self-conscious of posting how many I was eating. Meal after meal would be 7-8 mangoes. My friend Paul and his 8 year old son, Daniel were amazed at how many mangoes I ate. I'm beginning to feel similarly about the watermelon, but it has been so plentiful and tasty that I can't pass it up. If you've been reading my blog over time you'll notice the pattern. Back in the winter I was eating lots of Honey tangerines and oranges, then for a while it was mangoes, and now its watermelon. The idea of seasonal eating once again comes to mind. Seasonal fruits as much as possible, mixed with other fruits and greens, and seeds and nuts. Nature really does provide what we need.
