Ripe Mamey, I told you so, The world is going raw...
Breakfast- 2 small cantaloupes
Lunch- 6 Pure Food & Wine coconut almond macaroons, 1/4 cup pistachios, 1 avocado
Dinner- 1 large Mamey fruit, 1/2 lb red seedless grapes
Lunch consisted of what I happened to have at home to eat. It was a little heavy and my stomach briefly rumbled with digestive effort. The rumbling was brief because I didn't overeat. I wasn't sure what to eat for dinner and I felt happy to notice that one of the four Mamey fruits I have ripening in my apartment was ripe. Mmmmmm, ripe Mamey, it reminds me of baked sweet potato.
Although it's not focused on raw, raw foodists will appreciate Martica Heaner's article, Fighting Obesity: Eating to Be Healthy and Lean. As a raw foodist, I had that "I told you so" feeling. Marrica writes that "If you focus on nourishment rather than deprivation, over time, you’ll fuel your body with what it needs and automatically cut down on the bad stuff that keeps you fat." See, I told you so!
This is not new information, but in addition Martica lists her Five Eating Rules to Live By. Four of the five are clearly supportive of a raw lifestyle and include eating more vegetables, limit beverages to mainly water, eat more fruit, and add things like walnuts and avocados to your diet.
Whether people want to admit it or not, the world is going raw!
