Breakfast- 1 large head of Romaine lettuce

Lunch- 6 large Navel oranges

Dinner- 1 lb fresh dates

I wasn't surprised that when I awoke on Saturday I still felt full from dinner on Friday -all the different snacks from Pure Food & Take Away.  No excuses, I just wanted to eat.  It was Friday night after a really tough week at work.

I've never eaten anything that I didn't like from Pure Food Restaurant or Take Away.  The Thumbprint cookies are simply the best!  You can see what they look like if you follow the link here.  There's a photo of them on the upper right side of the page.  Pure Food is somewhat pricy and the volume is not as filling as when I eat a meal of delicious fresh fruit.  However, the occasional, maybe weekly excursion there doesn't feel unreasonable.

I'm glad that I was able to get right back on the keeping it simple path.  Since I'm committed to three meals a day, I couldn't skip breakfast even though I still felt a little full.  The lettuce seemed seemed like the best choice and it tasted really delicious.  I think it helped my stomach to get back in balance.

As you can see I'm still loving these dates I received from The Date People.  They're so creamy; they remind me of eating a caramel.  Robert Dyckman left a comment here a few days ago and provided The Date People's website.  The information and history they have about dates, small operation farming and organic culture is really interesting if you like that kind of thing.
