Raw Food Menu for Wednesday, 1/17/07...

Breakfast- 26 fresh dates

Lunch- A large salad: mixed greens, chopped fresh and sun-dried tomatoes, cucumbers, marinated artichokes, shredded carrots, raisins, walnuts

Dinner- Zucchini "lasagna", Audrey's Pleasure Royal "Cheese" crackers, a few macadamia nuts, dried bananas, 1 pint cherry tomatoes

I like Dr. Graham's calendar quote for Jan. 18.  I've definitely had the experience of people, upon asking me how I take of my health, tell me that I'm a health "nut." 

It's time that us raw food advocates actively affirm that we are not the "nuts."  EVEN if we're imperfect in our striving from time to time.  Is it the raw foodists that are sending our brothers and sisters into Iraq?

I love it when people see my weight loss (80 lbs since going raw) and ask me if I'm sick or have an eating disorder! It's fat, overweight people who have the eating disorder. But this is never mentioned, as long as they continue to consume. Very sad.

Yep, it is sad. I believe that the greatest challenge to consistently practice raw foodism is the addiction to cooked foods and highly processed foods.
