Elect a raw food vegan, Day 358 and counting...

Breakfast- Medjool dates, I didn't count how many, probably about 12-13

Lunch- A large salad: Romaine lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded carrots, marinated artichokes, walnuts, raisins

Dinner- 1 slice Ms Lillian's Raw Organic Nutty Butter Brownie; 3 "sandwiches", each consisting of a Symbio Life Burger, a slice of tomato, a spoonful of Real Pickles raw Kimchi, all sandwiched between two leaves of Romaine lettuce; a few each of Glaser Farms Curry Nori Crackers & Audrey's Pleasure New York Sushi Chips & Royal "Cheese" crackers

I hate to admit it but I had problems with the dates; at least I think it was the dates.  Late in the morning, just before lunch I felt really shaky.  I think that I need to be more aware of consuming too many dried dates because it might throw off my blood sugar balance.  There again, this is a rare occurrence and the shakiness might be related to something else entirely.  I didn't have any problems with my recent consumption of many many many fresh dates from The Date People.  Maybe I was detoxing something.  This is all just my observing lay person's opinion.

Last night's dinner was so good that I did a repeat tonight, plus the raw brownie, and it was just as delicious tonight.

I became agitated during dinner as I listened to Senator Jon Kyl being interviewed on NPR's "Fresh Air."  When asked why he supports the President's plan for a surge in U.S. Troops, he said that he believes that we should give the President's plan a chance.  I say, "Senator, haven't we already given the President's plan a chance for 4 years now?"

Do you ever wonder how many elected officials are vegetarians? vegans?  raw vegans?  Even though I know some vegans whose decision making abilities I question as much as many of our elected officials, I still can't help but believe that the more vegetarians and vegans we can get elected, the more sane our government's decision making will be.

Oh, by the way, today is day 358 of eating not only all raw food, but also vegan.  I've eaten only vegan food for this long.  Oops, I've eaten honey, that's not really part of a total vegan diet.  Nobody's perfect.
