Raw Food Pot Luck and a Movie were Super Charged!
Breakfast- approximately 4 fresh peaches and 4 fresh pears
Lunch- strawberries, mangoes, a few macadamia nuts- odds and ends left over from preparing my dish for the pot luck dinner
Dinner- a wide assortment of raw dishes at the pot luck dinner
Wow, the Raw Dish! Pot Luck Dinner and a Movie was terrific.
There was a great turnout, standing room only with about 50 people attending. There are more photos here in the Raw Dish! photo gallery (see navigation bar). The food kept coming in! It ranged from simple things such as plain fruit and nuts to more complex dishes such as raw chili, my own mango strawberry tart, other cakes and pies, cookies, crackers, dips and pates, soup, and more.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the event, especially watching “SuperCharge Me” and then having Jenna Norwood on hand to talk about the film and her experiences. Jenna looks incredible. In the course of the movie you can observe her begin to transform on screen, but meeting her in person you can’t help but notice how her transformation has continued off screen in the time since the completion of the film. For example, in her film, at the end, she had lost a notable amount of weight, but now, some time later, she has lost a lot more and transmits a aura of vibrant health and fitness.
There were people from all around at the event. Shelby drove in from Connecticut and brought a beautiful soup. Cathy, from Pennsylvania, dropped in but she had been driving for 6 hours, not from PA, but from up north on her way back to PA. There were many new people that I met for the first time. I was glad to finally meet orchestral conductor Cesare Civetta, who splits his time between NY and FL. We’ve been corresponding via email for over a year but this is the first time that he’s been able to attend a Raw Dish! event. There were so many people that I can’t begin to name them all here. I’m just really glad to have had everyone attend and have a good time sharing some delicious raw food and company.
The door prizes were fun, Raw Chocolate Powder and Pinenut Butter from Westerly Natural Foods, a package of skin care products from Live-Live, from Raw Soul a copy of the just released "Raw Soul Whole Life Program" written by Lillian Butler and Eddie Robinson, and a copy of SuperCharge Me! 30 Days Raw from Jenna Norwood.
