Ha ha, Whoopee, what a good (raw food 46 year old) boy...
On Wednesday, 11/14/07:
Breakfast- 9 Medjool dates, 3 big fresh farmer's market apples
Lunch- 1/4 small Honeydew melon, 1/2 cup sliced strawberries, 2 BIG plates of mixed greens, 3-4 wedges of small roasted potatoes, sauteed zucchini, a small portion of cous cous
Dinner- 6 Medjool dates, 3 1/2 New Zealand Fuji apples
I laugh at myself and it's refreshing to amuse myself like this. My description of lunch is accurate and I am glad that including the non-raw part of lunch is a sign of my letting go of rigid perfectionism. However, I am aware of that part of myself that wants you, my fellow raw advocates, to know, to really know that I ate a lot of greens; yes, I was still a "good (raw) boy" in spite of the potatoes. Ha ha, whoopeee!
I ate lunch at Silvercup Studios where I was doing some background acting work. The studio provided lunch and there was so much delicious looking freshly prepared food, mostly cooked. I knew that I wanted to remain alert for the day's work and that means eating raw. There wasn't a large selection of raw food to choose from but what was there was very fresh. I tried to follow proper food combining guidelines by eating the fruit first and waiting a dew minutes before eating the greens and other stuff. I felt awake and energetic for the rest of the day!
