Breakfast- a very large bowl of homemade fruit salad: Pineapple, grapefruit, papaya, strawberries
Lunch- another large bowl of fruit salad but this time with red seedless grapes added
Dinner- from Integral Yoga Natural Foods juice counter: Raw Soul Broccoli Quiche, Raw Soul Mock Tuna Salad, 8 Didi's Mac & "Cheese" crackers, 1 large head Romaine lettuce
Food disappointment is challenging and the the fruit salad was a disappointment. The pineapple wasn't ripe enough and it burned my mouth. I tried to eat around it but the juices had all mixed to together and it still burned. For some reason, at lunch it burned more than at breakfast, so much that I left some of it uneaten. That is highly unusual for me- to leave fresh fruit salad uneaten. The grapes didn't dilute or mellow it out at all.
I've gotten to the point that when I buy pineapples, I just let them sit and ripen until I feel afraid that they are going bad. I should have let this one sit a few more days. It smelled sweet but not sweet enough obviously.
