Raw Food log, 2008, 02/19...
On Tuesday, February 19, 2008:
Breakfast- 5 Golden Delicious Apples
Lunch- 6 Bananas
Dinner- 1/2 lb. bok choy, 3/4 lb celery, 1/2 pint blueberries, 3 oranges, all blended into a large smoothie
It's been a long time since I've eaten a large apple meal. Sometimes, in the past, the pectin(apples contain a lot) is so stimulating to my digestive track that I've felt uncomfortable and gassy. Not so today thank goodness.
I've been drinking so many smoothies lately. Almost always one a day(1/2 gallon) and frequently 2 a day. Today, I actually made two different batches from the ingredients listed here. One batch was bok choy, celery, and oranges only. The second batch was celery, oranges, and blueberries; no bok choy.
I've been eating some cooked food recently but there is no comparison between the way I feel after a day of only raw food and a day of mixed- cooked and raw food. The raw feeling and energy is superb.
