The bunches of chard that I have been buying here in New York City have about 6 leaves, each leaf is larger than my large palm. When I make smoothies I generally try to use about 1 lb. of greens. I used to weigh the greens for accuracy but now I've made so many that I've developed a feel for it and can judge 1 lb. of greens fairly accurately without weighing them.
