Raw Date 2010.11.13, Saturday...
Breakfast- four Raw Revolution bars
Lunch- at Rosie O'Grady's: a salad of mixed greens, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, mozzarella, endive
Dinner- at Quintessence: Coconut water, Mock Tuna Ceviche, Indian Platter, Split Banana Sundae
I was meeting a friend for lunch who needed to meet near his office; that's how Rosie O'Grady's at Times Square was chosen. It's an Irish Pub and it's not raw but it turned out okay. There is a grilled portobello salad on the menu and I ordered that but I asked them to hold the grilled portobello and roasted peppers. I didn't think to ask them to not dress the salad and they heavily dressed it with oil and vinegar so I asked for some additional greens to dilute the dressing.
It all turned out fine. I felt satisfied and was also able to spend some quality time with a friend without my being a raw foodist being an obstacle. Oh yea, the mozzarella probably was not made with raw milk. That's a compromise I was willing to make.
Quintessence was fun; read my article about it.
