Raw Food "mashed potato" disaster...
Breakfast- 1/2 watermelon
Lunch- 16 oz fresh orange juice, 1/2 watermelon
Dinner- Homemade mock mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy, 1/4 cup macadamia nuts
I was feeling very hungry before heading out to a raw food picnic in Central Park so I picked up the OJ and drank it beforehand and then finished lunch once I got to the park. The picnic was nice, mellow, and I saw some friends I haven't seen in a while. I didn't take a count but I know there were at least 16 people there.
I felt like I wanted to make myself a treat for dinner and for the very first time I made mock mashed potatoes for myself and I don't know if I'll ever do it again. I've never been a big fan of cruciferous vegetables and the ground up cauliflower didn't taste good, it tasted almost good so I ate more than the first bite or two. The gravy was good so I ate more than I would have without it. I guess even with raw foods it's true that condiments help mask the taste of bad food. I ate the macadamia nuts only because I wanted to get rid of the residual cauliflower taste in my mouth.
